ICP-OES/ICP-MS Sample Introduction
The sample introduction system is a critical component of ICP-OES and ICP-MS instruments. The design of the sample introduction system affects all aspects of performance - including sensitivity, stability, washout, memory, matrix tolerance, sample compatibility and also (in ICP-MS) oxide level and isotope ratio precision. In addition, the purity of the materials that come into contact with the sample directly impacts the quality of the analytical blank. Savillex has over 30 years experience in fluoropolymer molding and unmatched expertise in the design and molding of PFA components for ICP-OES and ICP-MS. Savillex is the only company that designs, molds and manufactures its own PFA products in house. All these sample introduction products are intensively tested on ICP-MS in DetectionLimits’ own analytical lab in St. Charles, MO.
Savillex has developed 2 unique PFA nebulizers: the C-Flow (concentric type) and X-Flow (cross-flow type). In addition, Savillex also produces complete inert sample introduction kits for the Agilent 7500, 7700 and 8800 Series ICP-MS, and for the Thermo Element2 ICP-MS. Savillex inert kits are fitted as standard equipment on Agilent ICP-MS instruments, and the C-Flow nebulizer is fitted as standard equipment on CETAC’s Aridus II desolvation system. Savillex manufactures all of their sample introduction products from Daikin AP211SH or Dupont 440HP PFA resin
